Beatriz Bernardes holds a MSc in Biomedical Engineering and BSc in Bioengineering, Faculty of Biotechnology (ESB), Portuguese Catholic University. In 2018/2020 worked as specialist laboratory technician in the company Advanced Products Portugal (APP). She is a PhD candidate in Biotechnology at ESB in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Santiago de Compostela and Faculty of Medicine at the University of Porto. Presently she is Lecturer at ESB of several curricular units: related to transport phenomena and applied particle mechanics. The main research interest is focused on the development of new aerogel particle-based therapies for the treatment of chronic wounds.
