Cláudia S Oliveira has a Degree in Biological Sciences, a post-graduation in Microbiology, and a Master in Pathology of Tropical Diseases. In 2016, completed her PhD in Pathology and Molecular Genetics at University of Porto (Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar). After that, integrated the COMPASS Research Group, at University of Aveiro. At this time, she participated in 2 ERC grants and 7 FCT projects in the scope of inspired biomaterials and stem cells aiming to develop 3D humanized platforms with high biological complexity.

Since October 2022, she is a member of the Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF) of School of Biotechnology (ESB) of the Portuguese Catholic University of Porto, as a Doctorate Junior Researcher, interested in exploring bio-based materials and bioactive agents with antimicrobial, anti-oxidant, and regenerative properties for biomedical and textile applications.

Her expertise in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, and Tissue Engineering resulted in several international publications (book, book chapter, articles, and conferences) and 1 patent deposition. She also has supervised and co-supervised degree, master, and PhD students.
