Holds a MSc in Bioengineering by the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. Developed her master thesis on the encapsulation of a natural antioxidant into biopolymer microparticles. In 2016 worked as a Junior Scientist at Vitasquare (Netherlands), a biotechnology company specialized in spray-dried ingredients. In 2017 participated in a research project within the circular economy concept. She was a Process Engineer for Infant Nutrition and Healthy Cereal Solutions at Nestlé. Currently Lab Assistant and PhD student at the ALCHEMY project, on the valorization of by-products.
