Inês V. Silva

Inês V. Silva has a degree in Bioengineering and a Master in Biomedical Engineering by Faculty of Biotechnology (ESB), at the Portuguese Catholic University. In addition, Inês also has an interest in artificial intelligence, having completed an advance course on the topic (Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Machine Learning for automatization and mode prediction). Inês has worked within the areas of paper-based microfluidic devices and sterilization and decellularization of sensitive materials using supercritical fluids. Additionally, she has experience in organizing scientific events (Biotechnology Innovation Forum, Think Big in Biotechnology) at UCP and other outreaching activities.

Presently she is a PhD student with a focused on the development of technologies for processing biological tissue into preserved and functional matrices for wound healing and regeneration.
