Mónica Costa Ribeiro

Mónica Costa Ribeiro acquired a BSc in Biochemistry by Faculty of Sciences of Porto University in 2018 and a MSc in Applied Microbiology by Faculty of Biotechnology of Portuguese Catholic University in 2021. Her MSc thesis was focused on the development of novel Chlorella vulgaris formulations comprising lactic acid bacteria with an enhanced vitamin B12 content, intended for human consumption. Currently, she is a research assistant at the Strain Design and Fermentation Platform, carrying Saccharomyces cerevisiae fed-batch fermentation processes, with the aim of optimizing the production of biomolecules of practical interest.
