Paulo Nova has a degree in Nutritional Sciences and a Master's in Biotechnology from the Higher School of Biotechnology of the Catholic University of Portugal. From 2018 to 2021 integrated the CBQF team as a research fellow in the project “Valormar Project: Integral Enhancement of Marine Resources”. In 2021 started his PhD at CBQF developing a project entitled “Algae Antioxidant and Polysaccharide Rich Derived Extracts from Fucus vesiculosus and Porphyra dioica as Potential Therapeutic Strategies for Pancreatic Cancer.” He focuses on the enhancement of marine resources, through the chemical characterization of the nutritional and bioactive potential of these raw marine resources and their incorporation into new food and nutraceutical products.
