Graduated in Microbiology (4-year program) at UCP – School of Biotechnology; has a Master Science (MSc) degree also in Microbiology in the same institution; and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Specialty Pharmaceutical Technology), at Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto (UP). In 2011, she was co-founder of Blendera®, a R&D project which received a merit award in 2012 by COHiTEC program (Porto Business School), supported by COTEC Portugal. She was vice-chair and chair elect of the first American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists in Portugal (2010-2012). In 2015, she worked in the Technology Transfer Office of UP (UPIN), by UPINTECH program. So far, she is inventor and co-inventor of 2 patent applications forms - (ORCID link for publication list). Currently she is a CBQF - Biomedical post-doctoral researcher, expert in: clinical microbiology, micro/nanotechnology, and in advanced biomaterials for biomedical applications (work in short bond with I3S – UP).
