Holds a BSc in Biology from Universidade dos Açores (2013) and a MSc in Biotechnology and Innovation from Escola Superior de Biotecnologia of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2015). Currently is taking a PhD degree in Biotechnology, with specialization in Food Science and Engineering, at Escola Superior de Biotecnologia – UCP. Main research areas are functional foods and ingredients, probiotics, bioactive conjugated fatty acids and lipid analysis.
