Professor Daniel Markovits is the Guido Calabresi Professor of Law at Yale Law School and the Founding Director of the Center for the Study of Private Law. He has written extensively on law, philosophy and economics and his last book - The Meritocracy Trap - identifies the role of meritocracy in creating inequality and the burdens that arise from there.
