Innovative nisin production systems

He was born in Trabzon at 1960. He was graduated from University of Atatürk, Department of Food Engineering at 1984. He got his master degree at 1987 from the same university. During his PhD he interested on production, standardization and increasing the quality of tea. He completed his PhD studies in 1993 with the dissertation of “Research on standardization of tea production”. Especially he contributed to the standardization and preparation of regulations on tea and tea technology in Turkey. After his PhD he started to give lectures on Fruit-Vegetable Science and Technology, Food Chemistry and Tea Technology. In 1995, he was assigned as Head of Department of Food Engineering of University of Pamukkale. Since then, he has been working at University of Pamukkale in different positions. In between 2000-2003 Vice Dean of Engineering Faculty, 2003-2007 Dean of Engineering Faculty

R&D + I projects with Latin America – the SKAN Platform proposal

The SKAN Platform aims to promote the sharing of knowledge and technology between Europe, Africa and Latin America in the agricultural, food and forestry sectors. This initiative aims to contribute to enhance the interaction between professionals from these sectors, enabling the application of knowledge, technologies and innovative approaches for achieving international consortium projects.

COHiTEC presentation at ESB-UCP

Tomorrow, 20 November, at 17h00, COTEC Portugal will be at SpinLogic – Incubadora de Empresas da Escola Superior de Biotecnologia da Universidade Católica Portuguesa (sala 1) in order to present the 2014 edition of COHiTEC, a training program destined to researchers who wish to assess the commercial viability of the technologies they have developed.

COHiTEC is a free training program in new technology commercialization, held with the support of COTEC Portugal – Associação Empresarial para a Inovação, the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD) and the North Carolina State University (NCSU). The training takes place between March and June, at Tuesdays afternoon, at ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Since its inception in 2004, more than 500 people have already joined COHiTEC.
