Recent screenings of her work include the NYFF, TIFF, Courtisane, Cinéma du Réel (Grand Prix) and specific focuses dedicated to her work at the Flaherty Seminar (USA) and Doc's Kingdom (Portugal). Nuno da Luz
October - December 2018
Supported by InResidence, program promoted by the Porto Municipality
For his residency, Nuno da Luz researched the surrounding of the School of Arts. He was interested in investigating the maritime specificities of the Foz do Douro (where the Douro river comes to meet the ocean). After practicing a critical and attentive observation, he collected that sounds and data of the waves movement from the Instituto Hidrográfico. He later was able to recreate this environment in an immersive sound and light installation.
