The article The Moderating Role of Purging Behaviour in the Relationship Between Sexual/Physical Abuse and Nonsuicidal Self-Injury in Eating Disorder Patients was published in collaboration with Sónia Gonçalves e Paulo P. P. Machado, researchers of GEPA da Unidade de Investigação em Psicoterapia e Psicopatologia do CIPsi – Escola de Psicologia, and Ross D. Crosby, Jason M. Lavender e Li Cao (Neuropsychiatric Research Institute, Fargo, ND, USA; University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Grand Forks, ND, USA).

This study sought to examine predictors of nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) in eating disorder patients and to evaluate the moderating role of purging behaviours in the relationship between a theorised predictor (i.e. sexual/physical abuse) and NSSI.
