  • A 28ª edição do festival Caminhos do Cinema Português concedeu dois prémios ao curta Aos Dezasseis, do professor e realizador Carlos Lobo, e uma menção honrosa à curta de animação Rua do Caneiro, da aluna Leonor Faria Henriques.

    Aos Dezasseis recebeu o prémio de Melhor Montagem, para Miguel da Santa, e Melhor Cartaz, para Tiago Carvalho, alumni da Escola das Artes.

    A curta Rua do Caneiro, da aluna Leonor Faria Henriques, ganhou Menção Honrosa na Seleção Ensaios, categoria Melhor Ensaio Nacional de Animação.

  • Campanha Solidária de Natal da Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), “A alegria de estarmos juntos”, junta a comunidade dos quatro campi da UCP (Porto, Lisboa, Braga e Viseu), com o objetivo de apoiar mais de 30 instituições de solidariedade.

    Esta campanha, a nível nacional, de recolha de alimentos, donativos e ações de voluntariado, decorre até ao dia 17 de dezembro.

    Recolha de bens alimentares não perecíveis e roupa que reverte para a Casa da Mãe Clara e para a Porto Solidário, organizada pela CAtólica SOlidária (CASO).

    Sou Voluntário e Troca Solidária | 5 de dezembro
    Os alunos voluntários da CASO vão dinamizar uma iniciativa em que convidam outros alunos a passar pelo átrio e a tirar uma fotografia, convidando toda a comunidade académica a trocar bolos caseiros e café por bens alimentares que serão oferecidos às associações Porto Solidário e Casa Mãe Clara. Entre as 9h30 e as 17h30.

    Venda de produtos de Comércio Justo | 5 de dezembro
    No âmbito da disciplina de Sociologia da CPBS vai haver uma venda de produtos de Comércio Justo no Átrio Principal das 9h30 às 17h30. O Comércio Justo é uma forma de comércio que procura proporcionar condições de trabalho e de vida dignas para os pequenos produtores desfavorecidos, assim como para as crianças, lutando contra o trabalho infantil.

  • A CAtólica SOlidária (CASO), o núcleo de voluntariado da Universidade Católica no Porto, recebeu uma Menção Honrosa na categoria jovem, no âmbito do “Troféu Português de Voluntariado 2022”, atribuído pela Confederação Portuguesa de Voluntariado.

    “É com muito orgulho e felicidade que recebemos este reconhecimento”, afirma Carmo Themudo, coordenadora da Unidade de Desenvolvimento Integral da Pessoa, que detém a gestão da CASO.

    A Menção Honrosa reconhece o trabalho de todos os voluntários que, ao longo dos 20 anos da CASO, contribuíram para a construção de um mundo melhor. Carmo Themudo acrescenta, também, que “este prémio é um incentivo e um estímulo para continuarmos a servir a sociedade.”

    A Confederação Portuguesa de Voluntariado promove anualmente, desde 2009, a realização do “Troféu Português do Voluntariado”, tendo como propósito reconhecer voluntários associados a projetos de voluntariado, desenvolvidos no âmbito de uma organização de voluntariado ou promotora de voluntariado. A categoria jovem distingue voluntários, individualmente ou em equipa, com idades compreendidas entre os 16 e os 30 anos. Promover o voluntariado como exercício de cidadania ativa, de solidariedade e de dádiva, na construção do bem comum, valorizar o voluntariado que contribua para a melhoria das condições de vida nas comunidades e divulgar boas práticas de voluntariado para potenciar a sua replicação e/ou a realização de novos projetos de voluntariado são os objetivos desta iniciativa.

    A CASO foi fundada em 2002 e celebra este ano o seu 20º aniversário. As celebrações já arrancaram e estender-se-ão ao longo de 2023 com um conjunto de iniciativas que pretendem envolver toda a comunidade académica em torno da importância do voluntariado. O núcleo de voluntariado da Católica no Porto tem como missão promover a solidariedade e estruturar o voluntariado, enquanto “marca educativa que transforma para a vida”, fortalecendo as ligações entre a Católica no Porto e a sociedade envolvente.

    A call for tenders is now open for the attribution of one research grant (BI) within the scope of the Green Agenda for Business Innovation "FROM FOSSIL TO FOREST", within the scope of the «Mobilizing Agendas/Alliances for Business Innovation» of Component 5, concerning «Business Training and Innovation», funded by the Portugal Recovery and Resilience Plan (“PRR”), under the following conditions:

    A call for research grant is open for the project “ApR-TEC - Technological solutions for guaranteeing the microbiological quality of water for reuse”, nº NORTE-01-0247-FEDER-047207, co-financed, under the terms of Notice 17/SI/2019, by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), through the Northern Regional Operational Program:

    i. Present their enrolment or a statement of commitment to enroll in a course not conferring an academic degree which promotes the consolidation of their scientific training or

    The Rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Prof. Dr. Isabel Capeloa Gil hereby announces the opening of an international selection tender for one vacancy of doctorate researcher to perform duties of scientific research, in exclusive commitment, in the scientific field of Exact Sciences and Engineering valorization of industrial fermentation residues/by-products within the framework of the Alchemy project (PT2020/POCI n.º 27578), to be carried out at CBQF - Centre of Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry integrated at the Faculty of Biotechnology of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Porto. This project is co-financed by Portugal 2020 under the Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalization through the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER).

    This project, running until 06/310/2023, has as its main objective the valorization of industrial by-products from the US Amyris Company, via the development of innovative products for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic areas, for human and animal food, for agro-chemistry, and for materials.
