The workshop, the first for this COST Action, will be dedicated to a general overview of the current state of non destructive spectral sensors and the opportunities and challenges in their application in the agri-food chain. The workshop will be structured around 3 main areas with dedicated sessions:
1. Smart Sensors in Agri-Food
-
Transforming agri-food production using spectral smart sensors
-
Smart Sensors for assuring food integrity.
-
NIR Sensors, hyperspectral sensors and other non-destructive spectral sensors.
2. Challenges in Process Control (PAT) for Food Analysis
-
Spectral sensors fusion.
-
Innovation in labelling using spectral sensors.
-
Chemometrics, new algorithms and artificial intelligence to process spectral data.
3. Sensing to Actuators Data Flow in Industrial Settings
-
Portable and on-line devices in agri-food.
-
Using of spectral sensors as IoT devices.
The workshop programme will consist of a number of invited keynote lectures together with contributed oral presentations (15 min plus 5 min of questions) and poster sessions. Scientists from both academia and industry are encouraged to present their current research work in one or more of the topics of the program.
